ZR Tecnologia Website
Real project | UX UI Design | Ideation | Collaboration with Senior Developer | Lean environment | Figma | Webdesign
Role:
UX UI Designer
Project type:
Freelance
Year:
2025
Project Overview:
The ZR Tecnologia project was developed for a Brazilian startup with the mission of connecting small businesses lacking an online presence to skilled website developers. The platform aimed to provide tailor-made websites that met each client’s unique needs, bridging the gap between traditional businesses and the digital market. Although the project was successfully completed ( on my end ), the project was not developed due to external circumstances
Challenge:
Design a user-friendly website for a startup that connected small businesses without an online presence to web developers and designers. The main challenge was ensuring the platform felt both professional and approachable, while also adapting the design based on stakeholder and developer feedback
My Actions/Solution
I led the UX/UI process end-to-end: building personas, defining the information architecture, and creating wireframes (low → high fidelity).
I designed a clean and intuitive UI, validating it through persona alignment. I collaborated with a senior full-stack developer, incorporating his feedback to refine the UI and also make it feasible
Targeted Persona:

" I know my business needs an online presence, but I don’t have the technical knowledge to build a website myself. I just want something professional, and unique, not a makeshift template. "
User's need:
Small business owners lacked an easy and trustworthy way to get a professional website. They often didn’t have the technical knowledge, time, or design skills to build one themselves
Goal defined:
Create a landing page that allows small business owners to easily understand the website types and order the correct kind of website they wanted for their businesses
Starting the design:
I sketched some wireframes based on the user goal, of having a comprehensive site choice from start, by adding descriptions to each site category, maintaining them short , I did sketch others wireframes but those were discarded and can be seen here

Then passed them to the next step, the digital wireframes

The first assets were made with icons, but changed according to feedback rounds

Feedback refining
The first feedback could be summarized on " boring design ", so I changed it in order to make it more enjoyable and clearer through images:

Feedback given: confusing
After more iterations and dozens upon dozens of micro changes on the design, the final layout finally came to life, also the assets took their final form:

Final design and considerations:
The final prototype was handed off to my partner, the senior full stack developer, through Figma for implementation. Unfortunately, the project was not fully developed due to external circumstances
Considerations / Takeaways:
-
Learned that even in the mockup phase, image and color choices can lead to significant changes.
-
Understood that feedback is not about the designer but about the design and it’s always an opportunity to improve.
-
Experienced how AI can accelerate image creation and save time, while still requiring careful adjustments.
-
Grew more excited to apply these learnings in future website and mobile projects.
